Call Forwarding

 
Automatically transfers incoming calls to another extension or to an external destination. Six settings are available.

Caller ID

Displays the incoming caller's phone number, or name and number.

Call Hold

Allows you to put an incoming call on hold.

Call Hold,
Exclusive

Prevents other extension users from retrieving your held call. Only the user who held the call can retrieve it.

Centrex

A service that is functionally similar to a customer-premise PBX, but provided by means of equipment located in a Central Office.

CO Lines

Central Office Telephone Line - the telephone lines (dial tone) provided by your service provider. I.E.: Verizon, CTC, Lightship, etc.

Conference

During a two-party conversation, you can add a third-party to make a three-party conference. The members of a conference on a line may be three extensions, one extension and two outside lines, or two extensions and one outside line.

Control Unit

This is the heart of the telephone system. This unit is usually installed in the telephone room or ventilated closet. It contains the Central Processing Unit.
