Corporate/Municipal KXTD System: KX-TD500 Control Unit
The modular design of the KXTD500 allows you to expand from 8 CO lines and 8 extensions to as many as 192 CO
lines and 448 extensions by installing add-on modules to suit your specific needs (512 ports maximum). The system can
be installed in a one, two, or three shelf configuration, providing economical expansion from 192 ports (1 cabinet),
to 384 ports (2 cabinets), to 512 ports (3 cabinets). The ingenious design of the KX-TD500 allows you to maximize
the use of each cabinet. Universal slots accommodate any type of add-on module (CO line, extension, T-1, etc.) so you can expands
your system at your own rate while keeping upgrading costs to a minimum. The system supports Panasonic 7400 Series Digital
telephone sets, 7800 Series Cordless sets, all earlier KXT series proprietary telephone sets, and single-line devices. Voice
mail ports facilitate integration with a Digital Voice Processing system, while the XDP (eXtra Device Port) provides an added measure
of flexibility and expansion capabilities.
Caller ID Compatibility: Displays the incoming caller's phone number, or name and phone
number, when used with a Panasonic system display telephone. The system can automatically match a caller's number with a previously
stored name, and display that name on the LCD. Up to 100 names can be stored. (Requires Caller ID service from service provider)
Call Forwarding Versatility: Incoming, intercom, and transferred calls can be forwarded
when you are on the telephone or away from your desk. Calls can be directed to your mailbox, to another extension on the system,
even forwarded outside your office building to reach you anywhere in the world, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Day/Night Service: The system provides a "Day" and "Night" mode feature which, when set
from any station, can be used to change system functions according to the time. For example, you can designate which phones ring
on incoming calls after hours, or prohibit dialing out at night.
Door Phone & Door Opener: The Super Hybrid Systems allow the addition of door intercoms
and door contact closure for remote operation of electronic door locks. It's an ideal way to add security to your home or business site.
